Alternative Education Complex

The District operates Opportunity Class, Community Day School and Adult Education programs which are housed at the Alternative Education Center. The District also offers an independent home study program as an alternative available to students K-12. The Gridley Unified Alternative Education Complex staff recognizes that each student is unique and special. The goal is to help students become respectful, responsible individuals while developing a lifelong passion for knowledge.

Learning at the Alternative Education Complex is a combined effort involving students, family, community, and school. Together we strive to provide a successful learning experience in an emotionally safe atmosphere. Instruction at the Alternative Education Complex imparts knowledge while it develops critical thinking and problem solving skills. Students are helped to identify their strengths, maximize their potential, and encouraged to become productive members of our society.
