Jordan Reeves
Dear Parents and Guardians,

On behalf of the Gridley Unified School District Board of Trustees and the employees of our district, I want to welcome everyone to the 2020-21 school year. Gridley USD is a TK-12 district that supports educational opportunities for over 2,100 students.
As the Superintendent, I am honored to start my twenty-eighth year in education and my fifth year as the Superintendent for this outstanding school district. I am committed to the safety and academic success of every child that we serve. I am actively involved and highly visible within our schools and community. I have chosen the community of Gridley as my home for myself and my family. I value the involvement and input of our community members, parents, staff and students. I look forward to the opportunities to collaborate throughout the school year with all stakeholders.
Gridley Unified School District is committed to ensuring that all students are successful. All Gridley schools are staffed with highly qualified, dedicated and caring teachers, classified staff and administrators who work collaboratively to create an outstanding learning environment for our students. Using California's rigorous curriculum content standards and data-based research as their guide, our outstanding teachers are committed to making sure that every child confidently masters California's clearly defined and challenging standards in English/Language Arts, Math, Social Studies and Science.

To achieve this, GUSD has set five specific goals and allocated resources at the primary, elementary, middle and high school levels.
  1. Provide effective curriculum and instruction that result in increased student achievement.
  2. Provide a safe and supportive learning environment.
  3. Develop a long term facilities master plan to address infrastructure needs for our students.
  4. Develop and implement a district wide health and wellness plan.
  5. Increase parent, family and community involvement in the education of all students.
Our school district is comprised of five school sites: McKinley Primary (TK-1), Wilson Elementary (2-5), Sycamore Middle School (6-8), Gridley High School (9-12), Alternative Education Complex that includes Esperanza High School and Independent Study. The district is committed to offering educational programs to meet the diversified educational needs of all students in the community.  The district strives to enrich students by offering a nationally recognized FFA-agricultural program, Career Technical Education (CTE), Advanced Placement (AP) courses, concurrent enrollment courses through Butte College and a full range of extra-curricular sports and activities.

Sincerely,
Jordan Reeves
